AT&T merging with T-mobile

There have been recent plans for the two wireless companies to merge into one company. The outlook is that many people are against the merge because that would make AT&T almost a monopoly wireless company.
Let's look at what a monopoly is in the business. It is when one company owns everything within that business.
Currently there are many different wireless companies that have different cellphones. However the way phones are made is there will be the same phone that comes out with slightly different features that will be sold to the different companies as they sign their ownership to those phones. For example, I am with the Spring provider. My phone is Samsung Epic Touch. For T-mobile it is the Galaxy S and for AT&T it is called Samsung Captivate. They all operate with the same system called Android. So if I liked the version for a different provider better than the one my provider purchased- too bad for me. The reason why there are so many versions of the same phone is to create a competitive filed for the companies. It is certainly NOT in the best interest of the people per say. As each company has it's pro's and con's a person can never get the full satisfactory package of their wireless phone.  For example, T-mobile is great with their sim cards which can be transferred from phone to phone such as the GSM's in Europe. However their connection service is horrible. Sprint has a very good connection service but they don't offer the changeable sim cards. AT&T has both but that makes them more expensive for plans. There is of course more pro's and con's, one just has to look at their own wireless company.

According to this site that opposes the merge http://attmobile.savetheinternet.com/ if the two companies merge AT&T and Verizon (which I think had previously merged) would own 80% of the market. I suppose the other one will be Sprint and all the other smaller companies.

I am neither for the opposition or for the merge, however I do stand for a principle that is best for all, which would mean that it will not be about the company's capital, but about the products and service of quality and fair price that is offered to the customer. In the current system neither can be a good thing, competition or monopoly it is just another polarity playing around for profit and disregarding human life. I am not sure how companies would operate in an Equal Money System, but one thing I do know of certainly is that the value of human life will be placed first which means "best for all". I would like to have all the options in one place. And if companies were not competing but focused on what really mattered (the person) than they will have all the equal options available in one big company or many small companies=which becomes irrelevant which option it is. See how the polarity of monopoly and competition simply vanishes. It is not about being better than another, it is simply producing a product of equal share to all that is practical and effective.

Female Ego (depended on a guy)

Yesterday James and I were discussing the option of me giving away my car and learning how to drive stick shift so that we can share his car for some time to come. The idea came about when I said that I wanted to purchase a new car because the one I have now has a high monthly payment and it eats gas like crazy. I said that I was going to look at some other brands and I asked for his advice on cars. That is when he said that it would be a great idea if we are able to share one car because given our financial situation it would be more practical do do so for the time being. At first I was jumped at it and said: "Yes, that is a cool idea". I continued driving (we were going to the store to get dinner) and as I was driving I began to think about how it would be to share one car. The word dependency came up a lot, and I got a bad feeling about being depended on another to take me around or be on another's schedule and so on. The more I thought about it the more practicality came out of the window and female ego came in. And then I saw myself driving a stick shift and getting into a car accident because I have failed before at learning how to drive a stick and there is a point of resistance and fear when it comes to me driving a stick shift.
We went to the store, I did not really say anything to James. On the way back i said that I was afraid of driving stick. He said it is something that is learned and put into muscle memory and it takes practice, but it is not that complicated. I took my female ego out and welcomed practicality back. The bad feeling was gone and now I saw ideas of how we can make this work. I looked at how our schedules will be, when and where we need to be at certain times with the coming up school semester, his work and mine. I also looked at the fact that a huge chunk of my paycheck will be actually mine to spend on something else. So as soon as we figure things out and put them into real perspective I will be giving my car back to the bank and learning how to drive a stick shift! YAY...hehe

Desteni America- Day 2

Today I woke up with the kittens running around me, over me, on top of me...lol
Some discussions that took place were regarding sales and the experiences we have had in sales as well as food  (meat/vegetable, raw and other diets).
I just sneezed, and it is interesting to see the silence because no one says "Bless You", and I am so used to hearing someone say that as a reaction to someone sneezing....
Back to points of discussion. The mother construct kept coming up yesterday with many of the girls I spoke to, it was interesting to hear the different family styles that others have been brought up into and how that has changed since applying self honesty/forgiveness and corrective application yet we are all equally fucked within it.
Another point I've noticed which is cool is how easy it is for people to jump into conversations and place their sharing regarding the same point which is in itself assisting.

Desteni America- Day 1

Today I arrived at Houston to the first Desteni America Meeting. I had Katie meet me up at the airport. I was a bit nervous for meeting everyone because I have never seen them face to face before. As soon as I saw Katie, all the nervousness went away and I began talking to her as if I had known her for along time. I know Katie from Desteni chats and listening and reading her vlogs/blogs. Meeting her face to face so no different.  We waited for Gabrielle and left for the house.
When I got to the house there were about 10 Destonians on their lap tops and talking to each other.
Next I briefly talked to everyone during "lunch" time. I noticed that I conversations were floating openly and no words were a waste or judgmental. Even the jokes are funny because the common ground is understood, as well as the common principle which makes conversations such an ease.
As part of our communication today we sat down with all the girls and discussed the points of women and the self degrading that goes as part of the man/woman construct in society. Points that came up were anywhere from media image to children, to stereotypes about women. Then each of us said how applying the tools presented at Desteni and the self corrected application has assisted us at transcending these points into stability and no longer participation, as well as points we are still working on.
It was cool chatting with everyone because points were constantly brought up from experiences to self correction and sharing.

Why does sex sell?

If we look into how products are advertised to people we would notice a few eye catchers for the mind entertainment: One-Traditional family, Two-Child’s toys and Three-Sex and Four-Elderly-pills.

So let’s discuss the third way of advertising-sex sells.

What does it mean “sex sells”? It indicates messages that are presented within the product in order for the product to sell better. Here is a perfect example: everyone has heard of the product called AXE. And if not, it is body soap and body spray for men. It comes in variety of “manly-cologne” smells that apparently have the effect of attracting many women the moment the man sprays or washes himself with it. At least that is what the commercial makes it seems like. 

If we take the men’s point of view, as a man I like to be attracting many women because that speaks of my high confidence ego, and for those who can’t attract many women the spray/body soap should do the job as well…LoL What? We all know that this product does not attract women the way it is presented on the commercial. Come on! Why do we hide behind sex? A man seeing this commercial knows that is not true in fact, but his mind tells him go by the product because it just might do the job-subliminally of course.

The reality is that this product is in fact full of harsh chemicals for the body and the environment as are many other products that fall under the same category.

The active ingredient for Axe is:

When a product is sold within the image of sex it is yet another diversion from the fucked up reality we accept everyday.

In equal money system there will be NO sex sells products because the value of the product will be exactly what it is, simple, direct and actually assisting for the person and the environment with NO questions asked. We will no longer design such products and present them with the subliminal message of sex. Such lies and self dishonesties would simply be no longer applied because it will NOT be accepted!

In my spare time....WTF?

Today I got asked to fill out a sheet at work that spoke about my background education and my experience with children. This sheet is to be posted on my parent wall so that they have a perspective of their child's teacher (that would be me). One of the questions was "What do you enjoy to do in your spare time?" I looked at the question and proceeded to answer. I said I enjoy roller-blading, dancing, music, nature and writing. I gave the sheet so that they can print my information and add my picture before posting it on my parent wall.

So let's talk about "spare time". What is spare time? Time that I have left to do something that I enjoy, because the rest of the time I apparently do not enjoy. And the rest of the time is apparently a pretty big chunk of my time because spare time indicates something on the side....ONLY if I have time left to do it. The sound of spare time is ridiculous. To indicate that I only enjoy a fraction of my time in my daily life, no wonder people are miserable!
In today's current money system people work (a huge chunk of their time) which indicates that work is NOT enjoyable to most since they can't wait for their days off to enjoy their spare time (if there is such time left, or taken into consideration, because most of the time we live in our mind, so the spare time is not even a spare time-logically speaking). and that is the reality we accept for ourselves and that is simply unacceptable. We work jobs that most likely do not enjoy given our starting point being money and given that the company we work for most likely is ripping us off by default.
My company allows us to work 9 hours and 1 hour break. That makes 8 hours. The pay is obviously not that great, so at the end of the day when I come home my "spare time" is severely limited since a HUGE chunk of my day time has been spend in one stop doing the same routine.
Here is my perspective, indicating a time of enjoyment means that one develops themselves and their self expression. If one only enjoys a small fraction of their time, what does that say about their expression development. Work of course can be a place of enjoyment as well if the starting point is self honest and it is best for all. That would indicate that companies will have to work for the best interest of the people and not the company/profit. I can have a 6 hour day of working and do something else with the remaining time during the day. And both places can become a place of enjoyment which would make "spare time" a full time deal :)
Wouldn't that be great? It can be if we create it. And the solution is setting up an Equal Money System so that we can ALL enjoy and develop our skills and self expression full time, not just a fraction of my day. That would make sense. Happy employees=happy customers=happy business=happy children=happy animals=happy Earth. When we all equally care about each other is: 1+1=2 and so on.

So join us in the process of standing up within the hell whole we have accepted and allowed and create something that truly matters.

A follower...

It is interesting and frustrating to observe myself in daily life. I am starting to realize that I am a follower, a characteristic I have acquired from young age....perhaps my programing. What does it mean to be a follower?
Someone who cannot stand up because they are constantly "waiting". At least that is how I would interpret it for myself. I place myself in a position of waiting for someone else to take the initial action so that I can follow. I am waiting for someone else to speak up so that I can follow. I am waiting for someone else to change so that I can follow. I see this in the tiny details of my life anywhere from cooking, going to the gym, or simply taking a decision that has already been decided for me.
I stand in the polarity of a follower and feed the polarity of a leader. Without the polarity of these two one will see people working together, leading themselves and in terms leading the group as a team. No followers, no leaders, no competition just everyone moving forward together as ONE. For that to be possible we must make the decision together. Sure one can suggest, but we all have to agree on the suggestion in order to move forward. Each individually must see the common sense within the group decision. It takes some realization for that to hit one in the head. I mean HELLOoo, wake up! It is not about "you"...it is about all of us together. And that is what DESTENI as a group stand for.
I observe myself in this follower polarity and I get frustrated because I know I see it! And I know I am just standing on the side....WAITING...AND WAITING...
I know I need to push through this polarity and become the leader for myself, otherwise I lack some serious self direction in my life and I will not stand for that!
